Prof. Huang, Dong got his Ph.D in management science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2002 and was engaged in postdoctoral research at the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Pennsylvania State University(PSU) in 2006-2007. In addition, he was awarded the Macau Foundation in 2008 to study on urban development policy in Macao.


Currently, he is a Professor in the College of Public Administration of HUST and is also the director of the ASEAN Research Center of HUST(HUSTARC). Besides, he is a consultant of Development Strategy Committee of Jingmen City, Hubei Province, a consultant of Development Strategy of Qinzhou City, Guangxi Province, a consultant of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, a member of expert committee of low carbon economy of Wuhan City, a consultant of Macao human resources association.
